Delete your account
Last updated 8 September 2026
You can delete your CoachTrail account and everything in it at any time, from inside the app or by writing to us. This page explains both routes and exactly what goes with it.
Delete it yourself, in the app
This is the fastest route and takes effect immediately.
- Open CoachTrail and sign in. Clients: go to Profile. Coaches: go to Account.
- Scroll to Danger zone and choose Delete account.
- Type DELETE and enter your password to confirm.
Both steps are deliberate: typing the word defeats the muscle-memory tap that a plain yes/no dialog invites, and the password means a borrowed unlocked phone cannot erase your data.
Or ask us to do it
If you have lost access to the account, email support@coachtrail.app from the address the account uses, with Delete my account as the subject. We confirm the request is genuinely from you, delete the account, and write back to tell you it is done — within 30 days, and normally within a few working days.
What is deleted
Deleting the account removes all of it, permanently:
- Your name, email address and password
- Your training history — scheduled sessions, logged sets, and how hard each one felt
- Body metrics, weekly check-ins and readiness ratings
- Progress photos and form-check videos, including the stored files themselves
- Messages between you and your coach
- Your device’s push notification token, so the app stops reaching your phone
- For coaches: the workouts, programs and exercise notes you created, and the bookings you made
There is no grace period and no archived copy to restore from. Once it is gone we cannot get it back for you, so export or write down anything you want to keep first.
What happens to the people you train with
If you are a client, your coach and their other clients are not affected. Your coach stops seeing your plan and your history along with everything else.
If you are a coach, your clients keep their own accounts and their own progress. They simply will not have a coach until they join another one, and the sessions you had booked for them are removed with the rest.
What we may still hold
Where the law requires us to keep a record — an invoice, for instance — we keep only that record, for only as long as the law requires, and nothing else from the account. Backups roll over on their own schedule and are never used to bring a deleted account back.
