Privacy Policy

CoachTrail (“we”, “us”) is a workspace for fitness coaches to build workouts, schedule practices, and share plans with their clients. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

• Account details — your name and email, and a securely hashed password.
• Content you create — workouts, exercises, circuits, scheduled practices, and notes.
• Client details — the name and email of clients you invite, and the plans you assign them.
• Technical data — basic logs needed to operate and secure the service.

Google Calendar access

Connecting Google Calendar is optional. If you connect it, we request permission to manage calendar events (the calendar.events scope) solely to mirror your scheduled practices — creating, updating, and removing those events on your behalf. We store the OAuth access and refresh tokens needed to do this. We do not read your other calendar entries and we do not use this access for anything else.

CoachTrail’s use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. You can disconnect at any time from the user menu, which deletes the stored tokens and stops all access.

How we use your information

To provide the service: authenticate you, build and schedule workouts, share plans with your clients, send invitations you request, and (if connected) sync your schedule to Google Calendar. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.

Sharing and processors

We share data only with the providers that run the service on our behalf — for example hosting, our database, transactional email (for invitations), and Google (only when you connect Calendar). Each processes data under our instructions.

Data retention

We keep your data while your account is active. You can ask us to delete your account and its data at any time; Google tokens are removed as soon as you disconnect.

Security

Passwords are hashed with argon2id, data is transmitted over TLS, and access is scoped so you only reach your own clients and workouts. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

Your rights

You may access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@coachtrail.app.

Changes

We may update this policy; we’ll change the “last updated” date above and, for material changes, notify you in the app.
